This weekend, my hometown of Adelaide has been thrashed by thunderstorms. Thousands of homes, schools and business are still without power, traffic lights are out and trees are down. It has been a wild weekend.
When we have storms like this, my mind often goes to those sleeping rough. The blessing of having a home and a roof over our heads in the wild weather never gets lost on me.
I talked about finding a sanctuary a few weeks ago and in a literal sense, our homes can be our sanctuary from the wild weather and metaphorically, from the storms of life.
If your home gets a leaky roof, we patch it, once we find the leak, so our shelter remainds strong and effective. If our lives get a leak, we can patch them up too!
Isn't it nice to have a place you can call home.
