I LOVE watching home shows! When we were building our house it was a stressful process so I'd pop a home show on and it would inspire me and I'd feel excited about all the possibilities.
Today I had a 'Rock The Block' on TV in the background. The designers were talking about the houses they created. One line stood out to me...."a place where memories are made". Absolutely, this is what I want from my space. I think about this concept often. I wonder, when all is said and done, how will my children remember our home? Will it be a place of wonderful, positive, loving memories? I hope so and really, that has nothing to do with stuff and all to do with substance.
